Publishing Center:
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to write a book? To sit down and tell a story on paper, illustrate it, and then see it all come together as a finished product? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have your book in a library for others to read? Or, to stand up in front of a crowd and read YOUR book to an audience?
Welcome to Griffin Elementary's Publishing Center! Each week budding authors bring stories they have written, in class or at home, to the publishing center. From there, dedicated volunteers work with students on everything from editing their manuscripts, to illustrations, to choosing the cover for their book!
The Publishing Center is a wonderful and memorable experience for Griffin Elementary students. It is not only rewarding for the children whose books are published, but also for the volunteers who help bring a child's idea to life. You never know, the next best selling author could be your child!
