Welcome to Math Superstars!
How exciting your child wants to try some new and different kinds of math problems! Be prepared as they work through the program; they will use their problem solving skills to face challenging problems that require thinking in new and exciting ways!
Each week your child will receive one worksheet, usually on Wednesdays. They will have the rest of the week to solve the problems. If your child is unable to do a problem, that is okay, as long as the work is their own.
Your child’s progress will be recorded by how many stars/points they achieve. Each problem is ranked according to its level of difficulty. The more stars you see beside the problem, the higher the level of difficulty and the more they will earn for solving it. Partial credit is awarded for showing their work, even if the answer is incorrect.
If your child needs assistance, it may be helpful to use a similar problem as an example on a separate sheet of paper so they can better grasp the concept.
